About Alliance High School

    Alliance High School is an alternative high school with two different programs: a 4-day program and a 5-day program. To determine which program might be the best fit for your student, please look over the table outlining the similarities and differences below:

     

      4-Day Program 5-Day Program
    Admission Requirements Must have at least 15 credits and be able to graduate while or before they turn 21 years of age Must be able to graduate while or before they turn 21 years of age (9th graders are allowed)
    Schedule Can be flexible; on most days classes are offered from 8:30 - 5:30 pm  5 classes offered from 8:30 - 3:30 pm (late start Monday at 9:15)
    Types of classes Self-paced classes for all subjects Traditional and self-paced class offerings in small class sizes (usually 15-20 students max)
    Career & Technical Education (CTE) offerings Culinary and a few spots for auto, manufacturing, and digital media Auto, culinary, digital media, manufacturing, and natural resources
    Onboarding Program Success Academy is a 3 week program where students earn credit and get acclimated to the building and culture of our school Orientation is a 6 week program where students seek to earn credit in Psychology, Language Arts, College & Career Readiness, Science and an elective of their choice.
    Earning Credit Students earn credit at their own pace Students have 5 classes every term in which they can earn at least 1.25 credits - or at least 0.25 credits per class period. Each term is about 6 weeks long and there are 6 total terms per year. This allows 5-Day students to earn at least 7.5 credits per year which can allow students to 'catch up' or even graduate early

     

    In addition, all students are encouraged to participate in college and career exploration such as:

    • Claim 3 to 15 additional college credits through career-education programs.
    • Choose from among 40 to 50 career and college-related field trip opportunities each year.
    • Get exposed to careers in aviation, engineering, trades and design.  Visit Nike, Wieden + Kennedy, and 欧美巨乳色情片 Fire & Rescue, among other employers
    • Train for careers that lead to family-wage jobs after high school.
