The purpose of 21st Century Schools Site Council is to increase student achievement. In compliance with the Oregon Educational Act for the 21st Century, the duties of the council include improvement of the school’s instructional plan, the development and implementation of a plan to improve the professional growth of the school’s staff, the development and coordination of the implementation of the education act at our school, and fostering family involvement in the school. Laurelhurst’s Site Council is composed of four teachers, four parents, a classified staff member, and the Principal. We meet the third Tuesday of every month at 3:15 p.m. in the library. You are welcome to attend. Site Council parents serve as a communication liaison between parents and the school.
